A boat accident on Tiga Dam in Kano State has claimed the lives of three sisters from the Yalwan Rugu-Rugu community in Tudunwada Local Government Area. The victims, Murjanatu, Atikatu, and Bilkisu, were returning from a farm where they had been helping their brother harvest rice when their boat capsized mid-journey. Their brother, Usman Abdulhadi, was the only man on board and could not rescue all of them. The father, Malam Abdulhadi Suleiman, confirmed the incident, noting that rescue efforts by nearby residents were unsuccessful.
