The National Bureau of Statistics reported that Nigeria's economy grew by 4.43 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, up from 4.2 percent in the same period of 2025. The oil sector expanded by 7.3 percent, while the non-oil sector grew by 4.3 percent. Agriculture recorded a growth of 4.39 percent, an improvement from 2.82 percent in the corresponding quarter of 2025. The services sector grew by 4.6 percent, while the industry sector's growth slowed to 3.96 percent from 7.46 percent.
