IPOB threatens 2027 election boycott over delay in Nnamdi Kanu’s appeal

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group that has been banned, is demanding that the Nigerian government quickly address the appeal of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. They have given the government a deadline of 14 days to list and hear his appeal. If this does not happen, IPOB has threatened to encourage people to boycott the 2027 general elections in the South-East region and other areas they consider part of Biafraland.
