Sasol, a major company based in Johannesburg that makes fuel and chemicals from coal, has seen its profits rise by 17%. This increase is mainly due to higher oil prices resulting from the ongoing war in Iran. For the year ending June 30, Sasol reported earnings before certain expenses of R60.7 billion.
