The President of Seychelles has appointed Ms. Colette Jean-Louis as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Public Enterprise Monitoring Commission (PEMC), starting September 1, 2026. This decision follows the rules set out in the Public Enterprises Act, which allows the President to make such appointments based on recommendations from the Commission and discussions with the Minister. Ms. Jean-Louis is highly qualified, with a strong background in finance and governance. She has worked at the PEMC in various roles, including Principal Analyst and Senior Business Analyst, where she focused on monitoring public enterprises and ensuring they follow financial rules. Before her current position, she was a Chief Business Analyst at the Commission and spent nearly seven years at ACM & Associates (formerly Ernst & Young Seychelles), where she worked her way up from Junior Auditor to Senior Auditor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Accounting and Taxation, from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and has further training in international financial standards and leadership. Additionally, she is involved in important committees that help ensure good financial practices in the region. The President's office congratulated Ms. Jean-Louis on her new role and expressed confidence in her ability to support the Commission's goals of good governance and effective management of public enterprises.
