Police in New York shot and killed a 49-year-old woman after she allegedly stabbed two people in Times Square and refused to drop her knives. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon near Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street, a busy area of Manhattan. According to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, the woman, identified as Pamela Cisneros, attacked two victims within about 20 seconds. A 32-year-old woman died from her injuries, while a 68-year-old man remained in stable condition. Officers spent about four minutes giving commands to drop the knives before using force.
