The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is challenging the legality of their leader Nnamdi Kanu's ongoing detention. They are asking the Nigerian government to quickly address his pending legal appeal. If the government does not respond within 14 days, IPOB has threatened to boycott elections in the South-East region and other areas they refer to as "Biafraland."
