The Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, recently visited Ms. Oyindamola Lami Adeyemi, the Executive Chairman of Still Earth Group, to ask for her support in hosting the Igogo Festival. This festival is an important cultural event in Owo and has been celebrated for centuries. During the visit, which took place at Adeyemi's home in Lagos, the Olowo explained the festival's history and its values, such as fidelity and forgiveness. He mentioned that a unique tradition of the Igogo Festival is that normal drumming is stopped, except for the sound of the gong, which is where the festival gets its name. Adeyemi, who is also from Owo, expressed her gratitude for being asked to help with the festival and pledged that her company would support it for at least the next three years. She aims to help improve the festival's organization and visibility while honoring its traditions. The Igogo Festival draws many people each year, celebrating the rich culture of Owo Kingdom.
