The government expects around 360mm of rain in September, which could lead to flooding in some areas, especially near rivers and coastal regions. They specifically mentioned communities such as Isheri, Arepo, and parts of Abeokuta as being vulnerable and urged residents there to pay attention to safety advice. Fish farmers in flood-prone areas were also advised to harvest their fish quickly to avoid losses from flooding. The government is working with various organizations to monitor the situation and keep residents informed about any updates. They appreciate the public's cooperation in helping to reduce the impact of flooding so far and stress the importance of taking this warning seriously.
