Divino Junior Sabino has been officially sworn in as the new Attorney General of Seychelles. The ceremony took place at State House and was attended by important figures, including President Dr. Patrick Herminie and Chief Justice Mr. Rony Govinden. Mr. Sabino has over 20 years of experience in law and has worked in various roles related to legal affairs, finance, and corporate governance. He has held senior positions in different organizations. During the ceremony, President Herminie emphasized that justice should be fair and equal for everyone, regardless of their status or connections. He congratulated Mr. Sabino and expressed hope that his leadership would enhance the rule of law and make Seychelles a safer and fairer place. Mr. Sabino takes over from Vincent Perera, who served as Attorney General from October 2024 to 2026. This marks a new beginning for the Attorney General's office.
