Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has died at the age of 64. He passed away on August 31, 2026, and his family shared the news in a statement, expressing deep sadness over his loss. Born on October 27, 1961, Orbih grew up in Edo State and received his education at various schools, including the University of Benin, where he earned a degree in History. He entered politics and was a deputy governorship candidate in 1999. Orbih also pursued further education in international petroleum management and corporate leadership. Throughout his life, he received several traditional titles for his contributions to the community. He is survived by his wife, children, and extended family. The family has asked for prayers as they cope with their loss and will announce funeral arrangements later.
