A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by the police in Cross River State for allegedly stabbing a 20-year-old man named Uwem Daniel Akpan to death after a disagreement. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Peters Street in Awi. After being stabbed, Akpan was taken to a hospital but unfortunately was declared dead upon arrival. His body has been handed over to his family. The police spokesperson, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, confirmed the arrest and mentioned that the teenager is currently helping detectives with their investigation. The case will be sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further action. The police have asked the community to stay calm and avoid taking matters into their own hands as they continue to look into the situation. They promised to provide more information as the investigation unfolds.
