APM's National Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Abubakar, stated that if Tinubu's lawyers truly believed he was innocent, they should welcome the chance to clear his name instead of trying to hide evidence. They pointed out that the reasons given for delaying the case, like protecting his privacy and the potential political fallout in Nigeria, suggest he is anxious about the legal implications he faces. The party emphasized that no one, including high-ranking officials, should be above the law, especially concerning serious issues like drug trafficking. They are hopeful that the U.S. court will handle the case fairly and according to the law. APM also mentioned that Nigeria deserves a president who is not associated with fraud or dishonesty and advised Tinubu to step down to avoid further embarrassment for the country.
