Fed Poly Bauchi Appoints Dutse Deputy Rector, As Two Directors Get New Roles

The Federal Polytechnic in Bauchi has appointed Dr. Usman Dutse as the new Deputy Rector, starting September 1, 2026. This decision was made by the school's Governing Council during a recent meeting. Dr. Dutse was elected by the Academic Board through a voting process where he received the most votes. Dr. Dutse has a strong background in academic administration, having previously worked as the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance and as the Dean of the School of Business Studies. His appointment comes just before the current Deputy Rector, Dr. Dalhatu Abubakar, finishes his term. Additionally, two new directors have been appointed: Dr. Hamisu Idi will lead Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, and Dr. Dauda Ali will head the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme. These changes aim to enhance the leadership and management of the polytechnic, focusing on academic quality and student experiences. The Rector, Alhaji Sani Usman, praised the new appointees, expressing confidence in their abilities to support the institution's growth and commitment to excellence.
