Brighton & Hove Albion, a Premier League football team, has signed Femi Azeez, a forward from the EFL Championship team Millwall, for a record fee of £15 million (around ₦27 billion). This transfer happened on the last day of the transfer window. The deal includes an initial payment of £12.5 million, plus an additional £2.5 million based on performance. This sale is the biggest in Millwall's history, surpassing a previous record set by another club. Femi Azeez, who is 25 years old, had previously shown interest in playing in the Premier League. Other clubs like Hull City and Aston Villa were also interested in him earlier in the summer, but Brighton made a late offer that secured the deal. Millwall made a significant profit from this transfer, having bought Azeez from Reading for just £1 million two years ago. Last season, Azeez had a great performance, scoring 11 goals and assisting seven times, helping Millwall reach the Championship playoff semi-finals.
