Adeleke University in Osun State has launched a new solar power system that can produce 200 kilowatts of electricity. This system, installed by DVS Reliable Energy, will help the university get a steady and reliable power supply without relying on the national electricity grid or diesel generators. The solar panels are expected to last for about 25 years, and the batteries have a 10-year warranty. For the first year, DVS Reliable Energy will also provide free maintenance for the system. The project is seen as a significant step towards using clean and renewable energy, which will help the university save money on energy costs, especially as diesel prices keep rising. During the commissioning event, university officials expressed their gratitude for the project, highlighting how important reliable electricity is for the institution's operations. They noted that the investment in solar energy, although initially seen as expensive, is worthwhile given the ongoing costs of traditional power sources. The university's leaders are optimistic that this solar system will greatly improve their energy situation and support their future energy needs.
