The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has reported that it contributed a total of N7.913 trillion to the country's government from January to July 2026. In July alone, the company earned N3.087 trillion and made a profit of N279 billion. During this time, NNPC produced an average of 1.68 million barrels of crude oil and condensate each day. They also produced a significant amount of natural gas, aiming to support electricity generation and increase exports. The availability of NNPC petrol stations for selling fuel was at 52% in July. The report highlighted that a major gas pipeline project, the OB3, is now fully completed, while another pipeline project, the AKK, is nearly finished at 95%. To maintain production levels, NNPC is focusing on effective maintenance and improving operations. Overall, this report shows NNPC's ongoing efforts to boost oil and gas production and improve its financial performance, which is important for the Nigerian government's revenue. However, all reported figures are provisional and may be updated later.
