The Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) in Abuja has helped 110 wives and widows of police officers by providing them with support to improve their lives. This event took place at their secretariat and was led by Hajiya Maimuna Muhammed Sanusi. The goal of the program, titled “Empowered Women, Stronger Families, Stronger Society,” is to help these women become more self-sufficient and contribute positively to their families and communities. Hajiya Sanusi emphasized that POWA is dedicated to promoting the welfare and dignity of police families, and they plan to continue offering programs that support these women. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, praised POWA for their efforts and encouraged the beneficiaries to use the support wisely.
