The Nigerian government aims to create one million jobs connected to global markets by the year 2030. This initiative, called the "Hire from Nigeria" campaign, was launched in Abuja and focuses on helping Nigerian professionals and services earn money from international clients without needing to move abroad. Key government officials emphasized that this effort is a serious economic strategy. They believe Nigeria's large population and skilled workers can help increase the country's exports of services. The campaign will include a new national outsourcing policy, which is set to be introduced in November 2026. The government plans to use various platforms to promote Nigerian talent worldwide, including showcasing it at the United Nations General Assembly. They are also working on improving education to ensure that graduates are ready for global competition. Currently, over 200,000 Nigerians are being trained in various skills at more than 1,200 centers, with plans for a new academy focusing on digital technologies. Overall, the goal is to keep Nigerians in their home country while allowing them to work for international companies and earn money from their services.
