Lawal also highlighted the importance of having a top-notch stadium nearby for the Super Eagles, Nigeria's national football team, which will save them from traveling far for training. Babayaro remarked on the revival of football in Kaduna State and commended the governor's efforts. Governor Sani emphasized the importance of sports for the state and mentioned plans to upgrade the Ahmadu Bello Stadium to meet FIFA standards, increasing its capacity and improving its facilities. He believes that investing in sports can generate significant revenue, similar to what other countries have experienced during major football events.
