Tiger Woods, the famous golfer, is planning to change his plea in a DUI (driving under the influence) case. He had previously pleaded not guilty after crashing his car in Florida in March. The crash involved his SUV hitting a trailer, and police found that he seemed impaired and had opioid painkillers with him. Woods initially claimed he was distracted by his phone and changing the radio when the accident happened. Following the incident, he announced he would take time off to focus on his health and seek treatment. He was later allowed by a judge to travel to a treatment facility in Switzerland. Recently, a court added a hearing for Woods to formally change his plea. His lawyer has not commented on the details of this change. Additionally, a judge has permitted prosecutors to examine Woods' hospital treatment and prescription drug records, but only certain people can access this information. Woods has had several surgeries in the past, including for serious injuries from a different car crash in California in 2021.
