In a statement from the NDC, they list the names of the candidates in question and emphasize that the party followed the proper process for selecting candidates, which involves submitting a final list of approved names to INEC. They argue that INEC should not have published names that the party did not submit and are questioning how INEC got the candidates' information without the party's involvement. The NDC's National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, expressed concern that INEC is creating problems for political parties, especially opposition ones, by allowing names to be added without the party's consent. He insists that if INEC had discrepancies in the submitted names, they should have left those positions blank rather than filling them with unauthorized names. The NDC plans to pursue this issue until it is resolved and is urging INEC to investigate how the disputed names were entered into their system.
