79.7% of displaced Nigerian children suffer PTSD, 84.8% depression — FG

The Nigerian government has reported that many children who have been displaced due to conflict are suffering from serious mental health issues. Specifically, about 80% of these children have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and nearly 85% are experiencing depression. Additionally, around 91% of them are facing difficulties that affect their ability to learn, interact with others, and sleep well. This highlights the severe psychological effects of conflict on young people in Nigeria.
