The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has started a two-day training program for its Female Special Force (FSF) to improve their skills in intelligence and research for better security responses. This workshop, which took place in Abuja, aims to enhance the abilities of female officers in protecting important national assets and infrastructure. The NSCDC leader, Prof. Ahmed Audi, emphasized that women play a crucial role in national security and that their involvement is essential for achieving lasting peace. He mentioned that women should not just be seen as beneficiaries of security but as active participants in preventing conflicts and gathering intelligence. The training will help female officers use data and research to improve their security operations. ACC Imonikhe Oluwakemi, the National Commander of the FSF, highlighted the unit's commitment to using intelligence effectively in their work. Additionally, ACC Dr. Ogunshola Folashade pointed out that modern security challenges require more than just physical strength; they need critical thinking and the use of technology. The workshop also received support from other security agencies, showing the importance of teamwork in enhancing national security. Awards were given to State Commanders for their contributions, reflecting the NSCDC's goal of creating a skilled and responsive security force that can tackle new threats.
