The Akwa Ibom state government has released its budget report for the second quarter of the year. However, a group called BudgIT has pointed out that the report lacks enough details. Because of this, people are unable to see how the large amounts of money, amounting to trillions of naira, were actually spent by the government. This raises concerns about transparency in the use of public funds.
