Good Good, a popular YouTube golf group, has lost its CEO, Matt Kendrick, and president, Joe Flannery, due to a controversial advertisement that many criticized for promoting violence against women. The ad featured a scene where one of the co-founders pushed a female member to the ground over a golf club, which led to retailers pulling Good Good products and the group losing a sponsorship for a PGA Tour event. Nahid Giga, one of the founders, will take over as interim CEO. Kendrick expressed that he did not review the ad before it was released, and as a result, the marketing head and another team member were let go. Despite the scandal, Good Good had previously been successful and well-received, raising $45 million last year and promoting inclusivity in golf. The company is encouraged to refocus on its core audience and use humor to rebuild its reputation after this incident.
