Isaiah Kemje Benjamin (JP) has been re-elected as National President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for a second three-year term, alongside Ikenna Okonkwo as Secretary General. The election took place during the 2026 Triennial National Delegates Congress in Kaduna, which drew delegates from all 36 states and the FCT. Nyong Bonny Silas of Akwa Ibom State won the Deputy President position, defeating Chigozie Chukwuleta, while Samuel Gangwaja of Adamawa State secured a zonal position. The congress reviewed the association's affairs and deliberated on the future of Nigerian sports journalism.
