Zamfara guards arrest bandit doctors, lawyer, couriers, informants

The Zamfara State Community Protection Guards (Askarawan Zamfara) have arrested nine suspects in Gusau, including bandits, informants, logistics suppliers, and a fake legal practitioner. The arrests were based on intelligence-led operations and detailed confessions from individuals embedded in criminal camps. Among those paraded was 20-year-old Abubakar Malan Ori, who confessed to spending months with the camp of bandit kingpin Kachalla Gwaska and participating in operations across Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger states, and Niger Republic, revealing that over N226 million was collected as ransom from multiple abductions. Others, including Mamman Haruna and Aliyu Lawali, detailed their involvement in cattle rustling and attacks.
