Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang convened a meeting of the State Security Council to assess the security situation and reinforce strategies for maintaining peace. The meeting, held at New Government House in Jos, was attended by the deputy governor, heads of security agencies, top officials, and the Gbong Gwom Jos. Discussions focused on emerging threats, recent incidents, intelligence gathering, inter-agency collaboration, and preventive operations. Commissioner of Police Ayodeji Faniyan stated that the meeting was part of the governor's continuous assessment of the state's security environment.
