The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Nigeria Implementation Science Alliance (NISA) have called for the adoption of implementation science to enhance health outcomes in Nigeria. Speaking at the 11th Annual NISA Scientific Conference, Dr. John Ovurouye, Director and Head of Planning and Research in the ministry, highlighted ongoing innovative programmes aimed at improving healthcare delivery. He noted that the ministry is working on a collaborative arrangement to facilitate exchange programmes between policymakers and researchers in universities and research organisations. This initiative is part of the federal government's efforts to integrate research and innovation into health sector development.
