The Kano State Police Command has arrested 79 hoodlums in connection with the 2026 Takutaha celebrations. The arrests were made by various police tactical units, including Anti Daba, Anti Kidnapping, and the Vehicle Crime Recovery Unit, as well as several police divisions. The operation was conducted across multiple areas in Kano, including Ungogo, Sharada, Bachirawa, Rijiyar Lemo, Mandawari, Kwalli, and Gwale. The police have not yet released further details about the suspects or the nature of their alleged offenses.
