Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have neutralized one suspected bandit and recovered arms, ammunition, and other items along the Gbise–Igyudu Road in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State. The operation occurred during a routine fighting patrol on 2 September 2026. The troops engaged the suspects after positive identification, resulting in a fierce exchange of fire. One suspect fled the scene, and a thorough search was conducted.
