Ugandan legislators have urged the government to improve staffing in health centres across the country to enhance service delivery, especially in remote areas. This follows a statement by Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi on the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers (UgIFT) programme. The programme has established 373 Health Centre IIIs by upgrading existing facilities and constructing new ones in sub-counties that previously had no health facility.
