Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on President Bola Tinubu to provide explanations regarding a $460,000 forfeiture in the United States, rather than attacking the lobbyist Atiku hired. Atiku's response came through a statement by his aide, Phrank Shaibu, in reaction to comments by Sunday Dare, a presidential adviser. Dare had criticized Atiku for engaging the US lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York and questioned the lobbyist's influence. Shaibu argued that the Presidency is avoiding the substantive issues raised by American judicial records.
