Troops from the Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have killed a suspected bandit and recovered weapons during a patrol in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State. The operation occurred on Wednesday along the Gbise–Igyudu Road, where troops encountered two suspected bandits on a motorcycle. After a gunfight, one suspect was neutralised, and the other fled. The troops recovered a pistol, a pistol magazine, an AK-47 magazine, and ammunition.
