Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) raided a suspected terrorist hideout in Peva, Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, and arrested five suspects believed to be associates of a notorious bandit. The operation was conducted in the early hours of Thursday, September 3, 2026, following credible intelligence. The suspects fled before troops arrived, allegedly alerted by informants. The Acting Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Ahmad Zubairu, disclosed this in a statement.
