The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has strengthened arms transfer controls through a three-day training for national focal persons in Ghana. Organized by the Small Arms Division of the ECOWAS Commission in collaboration with Ghana's National Commission on Small Arms, the training aimed to deepen understanding of the ECOWAS Exemption Procedure. Participants reviewed implementation status, identified challenges, and explored measures to enhance the effectiveness of the process.
