The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) and the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) are holding a five-day workshop in Leribe to develop and validate forecasting and early action products, aiming to strengthen anticipatory action and disaster risk management. The workshop brought together key stakeholders, technical experts, and district sector representatives. Public Relations Officer Mr. Rasebilo Maqelepo emphasized the importance of addressing climate change effects, while DMA Director of Emergencies and Response Mr. Rets'elisitsoe Molefe stressed timely planning and mitigation, noting that response is more expensive and not timely.
