Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has said that states and local governments have benefited significantly from the removal of fuel subsidy under President Bola Tinubu's administration. Speaking at the 7th yearly lecture of Freedom Online, he noted that increased allocations following the subsidy removal have provided subnational governments with more resources for development projects. He added that the Federal Government has fulfilled its role by ensuring more funds are available, while state and local governments are responsible for utilizing them effectively.
