The Federal Government has unveiled Nigeria's first National Land Transport Policy, describing it as a major step towards building an integrated, efficient, safe, affordable, and sustainable transportation system. Vice-President Kashim Shettima unveiled the policy in Abuja on Thursday at the 19th National Council on Transportation. He said transportation is central to the nation's economy as it connects workers, families, businesses, markets, and communities. The policy is anchored on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aiming to provide infrastructure that supports a productive and interconnected economy.
