Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has alleged that the Tinubu administration is in 'full panic mode' and plotting to reintroduce fuel subsidy through the back door ahead of the 2027 election. In a statement by his aide, Atiku accused the government of impoverishing Nigerians for years and then attempting to offer relief as an electoral strategy. He called on the government to apologise for the petrol price hike or face rejection at the polls.
