Justice Obiora Egwatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Inspector General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Attorney-General of the Federation to allow detained Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi access to his lawyers. The order was issued during a ruling on a motion ex-parte filed by Adeyemi's lawyer. Adeyemi has been in police custody since July following an arrest order by Justice Umar Mohammed for failing to appear in court. He is being prosecuted in connection with the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an agency alleged to be non-existent.
