Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, has dismissed claims that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is investigating Nigeria for crimes against humanity. He admitted that a petition anonymously filed before the ICC, seeking investigation into alleged systemic kidnappings, was dismissed as incompetent. The Federal Government plans to express displeasure to the ICC over the bypass of established legal channels by the President of its Pre-Trial Division.
