The inaugural National School Sports Award 2026 was held at the Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium in Réduit, Mauritius, to honor outstanding secondary school athletes. The event followed the Intercollege Sports Competitions (ICSC) 2026, which featured seven disciplines: athletics, badminton, basketball, football, swimming, table tennis, and volleyball. Ministers Darmarajen Nagalingum and Mahend Gungapersad attended, along with educators, coaches, and parents. Minister Nagalingum emphasized the role of sports in students' holistic development.
