The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has revealed that examination questions for the National Examinations Council (NECO) were allegedly sold for as little as N3,000 before candidates sat for the exams. He described the scale of examination malpractice in Nigeria as 'mind-boggling' during a meeting with education stakeholders. Alausa warned parents, teachers, and students against practices that undermine the credibility of public examinations, noting that such malpractice disadvantages genuine students.
