Ahead of the 2027 general elections, police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have launched a 'Show of Force' operation across strategic flashpoints in the nation's capital. The exercise, directed by the Inspector-General of Police, aims to enhance security in densely populated areas following credible intelligence. Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Isyaku Sharu, stated that the flag-off was carried out along the Gwagwa-Karmo-Idu axis, with support from military and other security agencies.
