Presidency insists no criminal case against Tinubu in U.S. FOIA case

The Nigerian presidency has reiterated that there is no criminal case against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the U.S. Freedom of Information (FOIA) case. The presidency noted that the case was filed 23 years after the American Consulate in Lagos, in a letter dated February 4, 2003, informed the then Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun, that an FBI records check found no criminal arrest records, wants, or warrants for then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
