Police confiscate fake €8,900 in Ibadan, arrest 6

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested six suspected fake currency dealers in Ibadan. The suspects were found with 89 counterfeit 100 euro notes, valued at 8,900 euros (approximately N14.15 million). The arrest occurred during a patrol on Tuesday around the Labo-Wesley area. Police spokesperson DSP Ayanlade Olayinka stated that the suspects are linked to the possession, circulation, and production of counterfeit euros, and investigations are ongoing.
