OpenAI has announced the arrival of its new AI model, Astra, which the company claims represents a breakthrough in artificial general intelligence (AGI). OpenAI president Greg Brockman stated, 'Welcome to the AGI era,' during a press call. The company defines AGI as highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work. Astra is being rolled out to customers this week.
