The Crude Oil Refinery Owners Association of Nigeria (CORAN) has urged the government to reduce petroleum product imports and strengthen domestic refining capacity. The association highlighted challenges such as crude supply constraints and other operational issues that hinder local refineries. CORAN believes that boosting domestic refining will reduce import dependency and enhance energy security. The government is yet to respond to these calls.
